Glass Info: Highlights from Glass Build America

Taking place every year in late October, Glass Build America is a meeting place for the entire glass, door and window industries of North America.

With educational forums and a trade show floor stocked with the latest innovations in glass, it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn and network within this business community. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the 2015 convention.

LandGlass showcased their latest glass tempering technology, in particular the CycloneTM Series Glass Tempering Furnace. This model makes use of Cyclone ConvectionTM technology, GeniusCoolTM tempering technology, isotherm technology, and a comprehensive data analysis system. Landglass products are suitable for a wide range of markets, including architecture, household, automotive and even solar power.

A + W Software for Glass and Windows premiered their new product ordering software, iQuote. iQuote allows for highly complicated and custom pieces to be ordered via web browser, in compliance with the options laid out by the manufacturer. It is an easily accessible and intuitive process, and allows greater efficiency in placing and dealing with orders. Smaller glazing companies and retailers take note, this software could save you a lot of time.

Adelio Lattuada were there to exhibit their 11 wheels mitering machine, the TLR 11 AV C. Designed for heavy duty glass production, the TLR features an adjustable inlet conveyor to carry large weights and a pneumatic clutch to ease in the loading process. It also boasts automatic regulation of the arris wheels and automatic polishing wheels intervention, and can miter small pieces as well as large.
